If you’re looking for a unique collection of books for your child, you may want to check out Adam James Books.
I don’t know about you, but I can only read Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Goodnight Moon so many times. Don’t get me wrong, I like the classics, but sometimes it’s nice to change things up. Adam James definitely does that in his collection of stories for children.
So far we’ve read these four: The Tooth Fairy, What Is Snow, I Was Running Through the Forest and Count Cubula. Each one tells a unique story that you definitely won’t hear anywhere else. The way Adam James uses his imagination to share these stories is something that both you and your child will certainly enjoy. And the illustrations that go with each book add an extra special touch. Polina Whitetail does a wonderful job portraying Adam James’ imagination through her artwork. They have a much better answer for where snow comes from than I could ever come up with!
Each book has a fun feature on all of the pages – there is a hidden caterpillar for your child to find! If you forget, you’ll be reminded at the end of the book to go back and find them all! Sometimes they’re in plain sight but there are also a few pages where I still haven’t been able to locate it.
In addition to the hardcover books, Adam James recently added a Kids Edition to his Storyteller Podcast. You can listen to ‘I Was Running Through the Forest’ with a free iTunes download. This is great for listening while you drive or anytime you don’t have the ability to sit down yourself and read.
